McWane Science Center Volunteer Programs

The McWane Science Center Teen and Junior Teen Volunteer Programs offer volunteer opportunities for teens who are interested in giving back, learning something new, and being a part of an incredible team of young people. Teen Volunteers present hands-on science activities and demonstration at interpretive stations and exhibits throughout our science center. Teen volunteers also help with our Summer Camps, where they have the opportunity to act as role models and mentors guiding young campers in STEM-related activities. In addition to a lifelong love of learning and positively impacting the lives of our youth, Teen Volunteers gain valuable experience in public speaking, work ethic, customer service, and leadership to name a few.

The application process consists of submitting an online application with the attachment of resume and two letters of recommendation, a 15-minute interview, and if selected,  attending of orientation and the required training sessions. Application deadline is Monday, April 1, 2019.
