Kindness Week/#PinkShirtDAY

Simmons is turning PINK!
Beginning February 26, SMS kicks off Kindness Week in order to stand up against bullying. All Hoover City Schools and departments will have site-specific activities designed to cultivate a culture of caring and kindness.
On Wednesday, February 28, 2018 (National Pink Shirt Day) we would like EVERY STUDENT at SMS to wear a pink shirt or something pink to stand up against bullying. SMS has designed a t-shirt that will be available to purchase on www.myschoolfees.com for $5.00 (please see below).
We truly hope this will eventually become a community-led effort that will be in place for years to come. For #PinkShirtDay to be a success and accomplish its goal of eradicating bullying - we need YOU!
We look forward to using PINK to stand up against bullying, so that everyone knows in Hoover City Schools, WE choose to #BeKind!
