Community Service 2017-2018

Students who earn at least 60 community service hours this year will be recognized during our Grade Level Awards Days in May.  Hours are to be documented on an orange community service card which can be found in the Grade Level Offices.  Community Service Cards will be due May 11th in order to be recognized at Awards Day.  For more information or if you have any questions, please see your counselor.

Here are some community service ideas (some do have minimum age requirements)

Bundles of Hope

From the Bundles of Hope organization:
We will be hosting our 3rd Annual Stuff the Bus Diaper Drive September 8th through September 17th on the gravel easement below Target on Highway 280; we are in need of volunteers to help us reach our goal of 150,000 diapers.  The sign up for volunteers can be found at Volunteer Spot (http://signup.com/go/mXMbvoG).

We are in need of on-site group and individual volunteers to help us at the drive ; we will have three 4-hour shifts each day of the drive and will need both groups and individuals during each of those shifts.

During the year, we also “bundle” diapers every first Saturday (with a few exceptions) at Christian Service Mission; this is another excellent opportunity for this age group to become involved with. There is no age limit, but Christian Service Mission (address listed below) will have each volunteer complete a waiver online (or when they arrive).
